Emily Cote is a Master of Social Work candidate at King University, with plans to pursue licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She holds a Master of Education degree and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA). Emily has over 12 years of experience in behavioral health and has spent the last eight years practicing as a BCBA, working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across home, school, clinic, and community settings.

Emily is currently completing her clinical internship while continuing her work in behavioral health and mental health services. Throughout her career, she has specialized in supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, anxiety, and family-related concerns. Her experience includes conducting assessments, providing parent and caregiver support, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and helping clients develop practical skills to improve their daily functioning and overall well-being. She is also passionate about advocating for neurodiverse individuals and increasing access to mental health services within underserved communities.

Her clinical interests include working with anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodiversity, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and family systems. Emily’s therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. She incorporates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and strengths-based interventions to help clients identify goals, build resilience, and create meaningful change.

Outside of her clinical work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, reading, swimming and supporting advocacy efforts for individuals with autism and the neurodiversity community. She is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered throughout their healing journey.
