As a child and family therapist, I strive to meet people where they are at and walk with them on the road to growth and healing through offering strengths-based counseling. I especially enjoy working with school age children and their parents, as they navigate the tricky ins and outs of the academic experience. Using motivational interviewing, art, yoga, and mindfulness techniques, we create a plan to help you and your child to start feeling better.
I believe that we can achieve our best potential when offered the opportunity to reflect and to grow in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.
I also have extensive experience supporting foster and adoptive parents along the sometimes very challenging road of parenthood. I recognize that parenting through foster care or adoption is a unique experience and I offer empathy, guidance and support as you hit bumps in the road.
