Kate Scheffey (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience working with survivors of trauma and LGBTQ+ identified individuals. Kate’s therapeutic approach is non-judgmental, client-centered, strength-based, and goal-oriented. Kate uses a range of therapeutic modalities to support individuals in their quest for greater self-awareness and self-acceptance, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sensory Motor Affect Regulation Therapy (SMART), Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI), socio-emotional learning, and mindfulness techniques. Kate primarily sees children, teens, and young adults and she works collaboratively with caregivers to support understanding and healing within the family.
