My name is Melissa Gonzalez, and I am an experienced clinical social worker with a strong background in family systems, mental health, and trauma-informed care. I support clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, life transitions, and identity-related concerns, and I am LGBTQIA+ affirming.

I earned my MSW from Rhode Island College in 2023 and have worked across multiple settings, including inpatient behavioral health units. I have supported youth and adults across the lifespan through individual counseling, psychoeducation, and therapeutic group interventions.

I am especially passionate about working with clients navigating high-stress systems and major life disruptions. My goal is to help them build coping skills, insight, and resilience while honoring their strengths and lived experiences.

My clinical approach incorporates techniques such as mindfulness, visualization, and goal-oriented therapy to promote well-being and functional outcomes. I am committed to supporting individuals and families in achieving meaningful, sustainable growth through compassionate, client-centered care.
